The OpenRD-Base is powered by Marvell's Kirkwood series™ 88F6281 SoC, featuring Marvell Sheeva™ CPU technology. The OpenRD-Base is a compact, scalable, high performance at low power, RoHS compliant and fan less reference design. It is ideal for development and debugging tasks before creating the hardware design. The reference design is equipped with full range of interfaces available in the Kirkwood SeriesTM of SoCs. The key interfaces include USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, SATA, eSATA, PCI express, UART, SDIO, SMBus, TDM (optional), mini USB and JTAG port for debugging.
The OpenRD-Base enables developers to quick start their application development and is ideal for rapid prototyping of end product. The board is targeted for wide range of applications supporting bulk storage, faster connectivity, higher through put and performance at lower power.
